About The Game

On August 27, 2019, it was confirmed that a similar collection for the Zero series is in the works which will be released alongside the Mega Man ZX series that is known as Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection (Rockman Zero & ZX Double Hero Collection). 

It was originally planned for release on January 21, 2020 worldwide and January 23, 2020 in Japan for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC (Steam), and Nintendo Switch, but it was delayed for a February 25, 2020 worldwide and February 27, 2020 in Japan respectively. The gallery from Zero Collection returns in this collection.

Several new features were added to this collection. A checkpoint system can be enabled to save your progress as can a new casual scenario mode, which reduces the difficulty and adds additional assists. A new mode entitled "Z Chaser" is added which tasks players with finishing levels as quickly as possible. Like previous legacy collections, this collection includes both the Japanese versions and the North American versions. Also a new Link Mode was added for Mega Man ZX to replace the function from the original release that allowed the player to face against 4 bosses each from both Zero 3 and Zero 4 when the GBA Cartridge for either game was placed in the GBA slot on the Nintendo DS/DS Lite. Instead this new function allows players to choose which game they wish to link to before starting the game.
